Steve Hillage : With the announcement of Steve returning to the stage and recording a new release is more than enough reason to highlight this UK guitarist / producer with tracks from his long career.
| Steve Hillage was born in Chingford in 1951. His first band, while still in school was called Uriel and featured Dave Stewart, Mont Campbell and Clive Brooks, who go on to form the band Egg while Steve went to school . Egg were offered a recording contract from Zackariya Enterprises for a psychedelic recording, but since Egg had just signed to Decca they got Steve out of school and using their old band name Uriel and pseudonyms they recorded their only release Arzachel. However this time in the studio sparked interest in Steve about all things in the studio. |
