Interviews with Lynne Hanson, Sandour, and Grace Spicer-Pilon & Vic Lenn of Passenger Princess
Lynne Hanson is no stranger to The Guest List. She joins us today to talk about her show tonight (Thursday, December 11) at La Grange de la Gatineau - a wonderful music venue just north of Ottawa in Cantley, Quebec. We also talk about her 2024 album Just A Poet, and how the songs change when played for an audience in a solo or duo setting.

Up next we connect for the first time with another Ottawa-based artist, Sandour who is appearing at Arts Court as part of Pique this Saturday night. Pique is when the local Ottawa arts presenter Debaser, fills Arts Court with an amazing array of music and other artistic presentations. Sandour tells us about his debut album A Cathedral If You Can See It. The album explores themes of identity, change and self-acceptance in intricate songs that use elements of r&b and electronic music.

We wrap up with a fun interview featuring two members of the Ottawa band Passenger Princess - vocalist Grace Spicer-Pilon and bassist Vic Lenn who also adds backing vocals to the mix. We clarify that PBR Supernova has nothing to do with professional bull riders and everything to do with young women getting together to have a good time over some frosty beers. We also talk about the group's new e.p. and how its title makes reference to a Lynyrd Skynyrd classic and how the new e.p. ends with an uncharacteristically long song "The Path." You can see Passenger Princess performing as part of the Spectrasonic Holiday Banger, next Friday night (December 19th) at the Bronson Centre. It's a fun night of hard rocking music in support of the Ottawa Food Bank.
