The Guest List
Thursday October 30th, 2025 with Joe Reilly and Tom Stewart
Funding Drive with Tom Stewart, Jane Siberry, Georgia Harmer and Paul Weber
Funding Drive show today. Slo' Tom Stewart co-hosts with me today. Guests include Jane Siberry on the phone, Paul Weber in the studio and a pre-recorded interview with Georgia Harmer.
It's a jam packed show today. Slo' Tom Stewart joins me in the studio to co-host the program as it is our first funding drive show for 2025. Slo' Tom and the Handsome Devils have a new album coming out soon and we feature a brand new song - a world radio premier in fact. Slo' Tom will launch the new album at Red Bird Live on November 29th with John Borra - a great double bill.

Jane Siberry joined us off the top of the show. Jane is appearing at Motel Chelsea on Saturday night and Sunday for a matinee. We talk to Jane about her new album, how her incredible music reminds us of the good in all of us, and what to expect at Motel Chelsea.

Then we check in with Georgia Harmer and hear part of an interview I did with her last week where we talk about her new album Eye of the Storm. It's Georgia's second album and it feels like an invitation to all of us to slow down. We talk about the themes on this album and the beautiful production that helps to highlight her words and the ideas behind the songs. She is appearing at the National Arts Centre next Friday, November 7th on the Fourth Stage. According to the NAC's website the show is sold out... so maybe you'll have to catch her the next time she visits Ottawa.

Finally, Paul Weber joined us in the studio - he kept knocking on the door and we finally let him in. Paul has just released a brand new album Ghost Beer Train, and again he is focussing on a lot of great local stories in his songs. Paul tells us where that comes from and what to expect at Red Bird LIve this weekend. He is also playing Motel Chelsea on November 13th.

Thanks for all the guidance back at Algonquin in the Festivals/Community Events Program when I earned my shingle to back up the events I was doing at the time. And for all the amazing interviews over many years. Here is $50 from my "Fifty for Fifty campaign to support The Mighty's 50th Anniversary and this year's Funding Drive.
