Today we talk to American guitarist, composer, and producer David Torn. He is appearing at the Ottawa Jazz Festival tonight (Thursday, June 27) with Scott Amendola on the Fourth Stage of the National Arts Centre at 9:00 p.m. David has created and contributed to a wide variety of music over and worked with an incredible array of artists. We talk about how he loosely fits into the world of jazz and what has gone into some of his recent recordings with the group Sonar and as a solo artist. He also tells us what to expect (perhaps a bit of the unexpected!) when he joins forces with Scott Amendola at the Jazz Fest tonight.
