An hour with Ryan Patterson talking about his group FOTOCRIME (appearing at Club SAW on Saturday, Sept. 2)

Today we talk to Ryan Patterson of the rock group FOTOCRIME. The band is about to release its newest album Accelerated on September 8th and will be performing at Club SAW on Saturday, September 2nd. Ryan talks to us about the group's big, 80s post-punk, drum machine driven sound and the influences of groups like Depeche Mode and the Sisters of Mercy and vocalists like Leonard Cohen and Mark Lanegan. He talks about how FOTOCRIME records are truly a reflection of his artistic vision but on this album he enjoyed working more with his bandmates: guitarist Nick Thieneman, and bassist Will Allard. Ryan tells us about working with drum machines and we have some fun flashing back to a song from his previous band Coliseum where he sings about making music with Drums and Amplifiers.
