An interview with John Calabrese, bassist with Danko Jones about the new album Power Trio

Today we talk to John Calabrese, the bassist with Danko Jones, about the group's new album Power Trio. If you're not familiar with the band, Danko Jones takes its name from the frontman and guitarist, Danko Jones, and the group has been playing since 1996 and has recorded 10 albums since 2002. Danko is a fiery, enthusiastic frontman and John has been the bassist with the band since the beginning. We talk to John about some of the themes on the new album, how they recorded during the pandemic and what it means to be rockin' with his friend for 25 years. He also sets me straight on some lyrics I have misinterpreted on the new album... on a closer listen I am dead wrong... but if you check out the song "Raise Some Hell" you will understand how I got it wrong.
