Interviews with Hawksley Workman, Leanne Hoffman and Kasador

Great interviews today, starting with one my favs Hawksley Workman. He has a great new album out entitled Median Age Wasteland and is coming to the National Arts Centre on May 25. This album is Hawksley's most nostalgic collection of songs and we talk about where he is coming from on this one. We also talk about how a person who grew up in the 1970s (me) can relate so well to cultural references on this album about someone growing up in the 1980s (that would be Hawksley.) http://hawksleyworkman.com/ https://nac-cna.ca/en/event/21145 Next up we check in with Leanne Hoffman. The singer-songwriter has released her debut album What Remains, and will be appearing at the National Arts Centre on Friday, May 10. What Remains is an intensely personal album, and Leanne talks about how some of those themes developed over a long period of time and what she hopes that listeners will take away from her songs. The group is on the verge of releasing its first full album, Brood and Bloom and will be appearing at Live on Elgin on Saturday night, May 11.
