Pauline Oliveros is a groundbreaking artist who has been creating amazing "minimalist" music for the past 50 years or so. (She probably hates the term minimalism and refers to "deep listening" as a philosophy that drives her creative process.) She is performing Thursday, March 17 at the Glebe St. James United Church and she is giving a lecture about Deep Listening on Friday at Carleton. Kevin Fox is a cellist who divides his time between creating his own beautiful pop music and accompanying a wide variety of artists. He called today after finishing a soundcheck with Sara McLachlan who he plays with tonight in Toronto. He comes to the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield onf Saturday to launch his third album Set Right.
