Sarah MacDougall was in the Seychelles and she was supposed to call in at 5 p.m... but she called in at 6 p.m. Oooops. She will try to call in next week! Enjoy her music and see her on Feb. 14th at the National Arts Centre. Doug Haynes of Highs brings his band to Zaphod Beeblebrox on Saturday night (January 31.) We talk about their bright, uplifting pop music which mixes in elements of African (soukous) music... and how you can still write sad songs when they sound so up and happy! Finally we check in with Jonas Bonnetta of Evening Hymns and we talk again about the challenges of moving on from his amazing last album Spectral Dusk. He'll be playing new music and some songs from Spectral Dusk as part of Megaphono at St. Albans Church next Tuesday night, Feb. 3. Then we check in with Jon Bartlett of Kelp Records, one of the organizers of Megaphono about the music festival taking place next week in Ottawa.
