Jay Malinowski of Bedouin Soundclash joined us to talk about his new solo album called Martel. It's a dreamy, richly textured album that follows the exploits and world travels of a semi-mythical figure called Martel. Jay explains the creation of the album and the family history behind many of the songs. Also on the show was Alexandria Nuttal, CKCU's Student Volunteer Coordinator talking about the Tuned In Battle of the Bands taking place at Oliver's Pub here at Carleton University on Friday (March 14th.) We listened to music from two of the bands participating - The Brook and Electric Run. And Slo' Tom (Stewart) popped in at the end of the show to talk about his gig this Saturday night at Irene's Pub. Get out and see some live music this week!
