Three O'Clock Train Interview and some new releasess and concert tips
Three O'Clock Train is back! This Montreal outfit was a very popular band here at CKCU in the mid-late 1980s and early 1990s. These roots rockers pumped out gritty alt-coutry before there was anything called alt-country music. The band has been making music off and on over the years but Three O'Clock Train is back with a brand new album and a new desire to get out on the road to play. Lead by Mack MacKenzie and his brother Stuart, the group plays at Zaphod Beeblebrox on Friday night (Feb. 21.) Danko Jones is appearing at Mavericks next Friday night (Feb. 28th) and we hope to line up an interview with him for next week's show. Neko Case is at the Bronson Centre on May 10th.... and we'll put in a request for a chat with her... and see if she's up for it! Finally, Warpaint has a new album out and no dates around here coming up... but the album is quite exceptional so enjoy a couple of tunes from it.
