Rational Youth, Strumbellas Interviewed. Rational Youth reigned the charts here at CKCU back in 1982-83 with the seminal electronic album "Cold War Nightlife." Back in 1983 the band recorded live concerts here in Ottawa (a live broadcast on CKCU-FM) and Winnipeg... and in late 2013 the group released those two concerts on the album Rational Youth Live 1983. The band is back together and will play live in Ottawa on Saturday, January 18th at Zaphod Beeblebrox. Tracy Howe of Rational Youth drops in to talk about the new release and what to expect on the 18th at Zaphods. Simon of the Strumbellas also dropped in (on the phone) to talk about his band's upcoming show at Zaphods this Saturday night (Jan. 11th) and about the group's excellent album "We Still Move On Dance Floors." Get out and see some live music this week.
