The 20th Annual Ottawa Folk Festival: Interview with Terry Gillespie

The 20th Annual Ottawa Folk Festival started last night and runs until Sunday, with a wonderful mix of ticketed and free events. Terry Gillespie performs on the ticketed side of the park Sunday afternoon, and he called The Guest List to chat about that concert, his trio, and his participation in Saturday's Folkfest Tribute to Chopper McKinnon. Shred Kelly is a rollicking roots band from Fernie B.C. who are doing a free Folkfest concert tonight. Shred Kelly vocalist Sage McBride had planned to phone in and talk with Janis Lockwood about the band. But the call never came because, as Sage explained in an email later, her cell phone died. Ah well, maybe next time.
