BluesFest starts tonight, featuring a huge variety of acts over the next ten days. On today's Guest List, singer-songwriter John Carroll chatted about his recent East Coast tour and his upcoming BluesFest gig on the River Stage Sunday, July 14. Finalists in BlueFest's Canada-wide "SHE'S THE ONE Emerging Female Artist Competition" perform Saturday in front of a jury who will pick the winner. Two of the six finalists, Suzie Vinnick and Ann Vriend, had planned to call in on today's show but unfortunately - in true Guest List tradition - the phone never rang. Dang those cell phone dead spots. BluesFest isn't the only game in town. On Saturday, singer-songwriters Christine Graves, Chris MacLean and Jennifer Noxon perform together as "Three Piece Sweet" at the Gladstone Theatre. They took a rehearsal break for an impromptu interview about their upcoming concert.
