Salute to Chopper McKinnon: 40 Minutes of Uninterrupted Folk

Chopper McKinnon was a shaping influence here at CKCU-FM. He championed Canadian music for 33 years on his program, Canadian Spaces, and his influence extended from coast to coast to coast. Chopper passed away two years ago, on March 13, 2013. Today's show is a salute to him, featuring songs I heard him play many times. Raising a cup of my favorite hot brown drink to you, Chopper!

Hey there! Love the show! I was taken by the song about the couple, where the man went to bed and the woman stayed up to tend to the fire and drink a glass of wine. could you share what song that is and who the artist is? Thanks!

Hi Nicole, Thanks so much for tuning in. The song you're asking about was by Bill Morrissey, a regular Canadian Space Invader on Chopper McKinnon's show, Canadian Spaces.
