Several tracks from the recent concert release of the Master Musicians of Jajouka, available on cd or download at www.jajouka.com. They were the first Moroccan music I heard and led me towards two trips to Morocco and a very large collection of Moroccan music!
Also featured some African guitars from West, East, Central Africa (Mali, Kenya, DR of Congo).
Finally, a 6 part a cappella Motet by 16th century English Composer William Mundy sung by The Tallis Scholars, from one of their first recordings in 1980. They are touring celebrating their 30th anniversary and making their first ever Ottawa appearance on Sunday Mar 28. www.gimell.com or www.chamberfest.com for more information.
