Ustad Sultan Khan

Ustad Sultan Khan, one of the most important Hindusthani Sarangi masters who did much to counter the decline of this great instrument in the 20th century, died on November 27 at the age of 71. He had a longstanding partnership with Zakir Hussain who accompanies him on several pieces on today's show.
