Upcoming new albums including a fantastic quartet: Ballaké Sissoko, Vincent Segal, Vincent Peirani, Émile Parisien, and another album with South African duo Msaki and Tubatsi Mpho Moloi. My next listening session with my dad, Astor Piazzolla in NYC.

We are going to start today with a couple of upcoming releases on No Format. The first is another album with kora master Ballaké Sissoko and cellist Vincent Segal (their fourth recording together). This time they are joined by another duo, Vincent Peirani on accordion, Émile Parisien on soprano sax. This makes for a unique sound and it is a truly wonderful, inspired album. The other upcoming release features South African vocalists Msaki and Tubatsi Mpho Moloi along with French cellist and composer Clement Pétit, showcasing diverse influences and styles. I had planned for my next listening session with my dad to be Astor Piazzolla's "Révolution du tango" recorded in 1965 at the New York City Philharmonic with his quintet Antonio Agri violin, Jaime Gosis piano, Oscar López Ruiz guitar, Kicho Díaz bass and Piazzolla on bandoneon of course. I can't do anymore listening sessions with my dad, but I can share them with you.
