Today we hear part II of a show looking at a concert given in Paris by pianist Ahmad Jamal and his Quartet, for the 2nd half of the concert, they were joined by guest multi-instrumentalist Yusef Lateef who provides some unusual and great compositions and his flutes, saxophone, and voice. This concert recording from 2012 was one of his last recordings before he died at the venerable age of 93 in 2013.
We also hear some Hindusthani shehnai (an instrument Yusef played) from Bageshwari Qamar and other wind and reeded music.
