I've been having "fun" with a new computer. As in no worries but also no fun; the Mac mini works wonderfully, except where I got a stupid problem: cursor arrow frozen, hence no mouse. Nobody at Apple could fix it. Not even a Minnesota supervisor. Funny fix: so an appointment at Apple Rideau Centre was set up for an hour hence. (Following a previous suggestion, I'd connected the wireless mouse to the 'puter with its charging cord, just to see; nothing.) So I unplugged the mouse, and INSTANTLY it connected to the puter and showed onscreen! Fixed! Same problem this morning, froz cursor. Plug in mouse; unplug it, and it animated. Very weird.

The "problem" with home computers by Apple (or others) is that they're much too capable. Any reading of a solution (assuming you actually find something) involves many, many names that you may not know. Outside of USB-A, -B and (now) -C, there are so many connectors, wifis, bluetooths etc. But overall, I think an Apple's probably easier to use than a PC-based 'puter. Of course, it's not the same. But a lot cleaner than Microsoft programs, built upon previous iterations for decades...
