Re 'birthday': I've long had the impossible notion -- because it's not an easy song to play -- that some night, some band at a show I'm at learns that it's someone's b-day, and launches into a real good version of The Beatles' *Birthday*.

A comedy show would be great, but finding clean bits nowadays is tough. It takes a lot of time to manually edit out swears and it can detract from the comedy moreso than editing it out of a song.

Re editing, I've noticed that, say, on CBC when they played *A Deep Dive Into...* of Fully Completely by the Hip, they managed to do such light editing on Gord's "remember every single fucking thing I know" that you couldn't quite make out the word (acoustically), but it was really short, and probably had auto fade-down and fade-up incorporated. Maybe they just took out the vowel. Totally surgical. Modern equipment.
