I saw Julien Baker at Neat Coffee Shop, some time ago. He is really, really good. Ably supported, he gave a great (outdoor) show. (Which reminds me, Born Ruffians are there Saturday. They gave a fine show last Fall, I'm going back.)

Also, about "Black": "Taylor, of combined Mohawk and Caribbean ancestry..." And he's been around for two decades or so, I'm always taken aback when I run across a singer who, as with him, I'd never become aware of.
