HOST OF: Saturday Morning, Stranger Songs

I've been involved in presenting music, particularly folk-rooted and folk-branched music, since 1970 when I was still in high school in Montreal.

I started in community radio hosting Folk Roots/Folk Branches at CKUT in Montreal from 1994 until I moved to Ottawa in 2007.

At CKCU, I host Stranger Songs, a weekly theme-based show on Tuesdays from 3:30-5 pm, and am one of four rotating hosts of the Saturday Morning show from 7-10 am. I've also co-hosted and hosted many editions of Canadian Spaced.

In 2014, I was the recipient of the Ottawa Folk Festival’s Helen Verger Award for “significant, sustained contributions to folk/roots music in Canada” and, in 2017, I was an inaugural (and the first Canadian) inductee into the Folk Radio Hall of Fame created by Folk Alliance International.
