HOST OF: Studio J Jukebox

YEAR STARTED: 1999

ABOUT

I started volunteering at CKCU in 1999 and hosted the Thursday morning overnighter ("Insert Show Name Here") from 2000-2001, before graduating and leaving the country. I spent the next few years DJing at various Internet radio stations and returned to CKCU around 2011. I co-hosted Infinite Ceiling with Mark Keill from roughly 2012-2014 and 2019-2023, and had my own program called Electronic Meditation between 2014 and 2019. I am now one of the rotating cast of characters on the Studio J Jukebox.

My first musical love was progressive rock of all varieties, and I also like psych, jazz, electronic music, indie rock, folk, stoner rock, black metal, and other stuff besides. I try to program plenty of new and/or Canadian releases into the jukebox when I'm around. I previously helped run the ProgQuebec record label, and helped organize the ProgDay music festival in North Carolina from 2001-2003 and the FMPM music festival in Montréal from 2006-2009.

I also do volunteer web development and cloud infrastructure work for CKCU, and was previously on the Board of Trustees.
