You won’t want to miss the “band from the land of kebab and bad decisions”

Country and blues in the vein of Towns van Zandt, Chester Rose brings a gritty darkness to the stage.

The Great Diversion combines elements of post-hardcore and pop to create a hard-hitting rock genre reminiscent of the early 2000’s emo music. The power trio distinguishes itself by its melodic pop sensitivity and hard-hitting breakdowns. Hailing from Timmins and Hawkesbury, the band has found its home in Ottawa. After kickstarting their career with the release of their debut EP “Rocks and Rapids” in 2015, The Great Diversion just released their full-length album This Is It…This Is the End available on all streaming platforms.

Wychwood might just be the world’s first “blackgrass” band. They play old murder-ballads and other spooky traditional folk songs, with some bright and sentimental spots thrown in for contrast. Some days they’re acoustic purists. Some days they like to corrupt traditional folksongs with bits of black metal, ambient, and noise music. They’re trying to make folk music dangerous again
