Ottawa, Canada is home to the multi-faceted Stephanie Marcantonio, professionally known as Queenyy. Queenyy dips into three main realms when performing her artistry. She exudes her techniques as a singer-songwriter, DJ, and movement artist. She takes listeners on a journey across the world through an extensive series of rhythms. Queenyy’s passion about music, traveling and dance has allowed her to excel when it comes to discovering, selecting, and mixing underground electronic global sounds across multi-genres. Various subgenres of House and Techno, Garage, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Amapiano, Batida, Gqom and much more can be heard throughout her danceable mixes.
Prioritizing her movement artistry throughout 2023, Queenyy started the year by traveling to India to study yoga and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate in Ashtanga and Vinyasa. From there, she ventured to South Africa to further carry out her studies by experimenting with African street dance. This sparked her curiosity and formed her desire to allow these creative and mindful outlets to mesh. Queenyy took this opportunity to curate a ‘yoga for dancers’ series at Soweto’s Finest Dance Studio in Johannesburg.

Upon her return to Canada; Queenyy can be found playing monthly at City Afterlight, she’s taken over the decks at events such as White Rabbit at City at Night, Debaser, Amashowza and Basscamp. She’s officially launched a new offering ‘Intuitive Movement.’ An open level, unique and safe space for self-expression through movement. Teaching different techniques mainly focused on active meditation through free flow dance, while educating the authentic roots of Yoga. Queenyy continues to cultivate a unique vibe and sound that only she can deliver.
