National Arts Centre - Fourth Stage, 1 Elgin St.
Price: $20 general admission

The Greg Runions Big Band celebrates Canadian music icon, Kenny Wheeler with the release of Runions’ Suite Vincent, a five movement work composed for a concert the band did in 1998 with legendary Canadian trumpeter Ken Wheeler.

Recorded in the studio of the Isabel Bader Centre for the Arts on February 9, 2019 - the recording captures the band in fine form - creating performances “live” off the floor.

The suite features strong melodic compositions, inventive ensemble writing and some outstanding improvising from many of the featured artists.

The ensemble includes members of Runions’ longstanding septet and is augmented by additional members from his big band.
