Nova Scotian pop-rock-roots artist Christina Martin’s album “Impossible To Hold” won the 2018 Music Nova Scotia Award for Pop Recording of the Year. It is Martin’s sixth and strongest studio album, achieving a perfect balance between organic ambience and impeccable production. The multiple ECMA and Music Nova Scotia Awards winner will be on the beautiful Bar Robo Chinatown stage on Sunday, May 19th as our next Robo Artist Series performer.

Christina began recording her own music while slogging it out in the Austin, Texas bar scene. A multi award winning singer-songwriter, she has been relentlessly recording and touring in Canada and in the UK and Europe, building connections at venues big and small, and singing songs about loss, love and perseverance. Her tunes have been featured in films and television, and she’s performed at music festivals around the world (Rolling Stone Weekender Festival, Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival, Folk Alliance International and Reeperbahn Festival). The relentless hard-working songsmith has shared stages with Matt Mays, Cuff The Duke, Rose Cousins, Josh Ritter, Rita MacNeil, The Sheepdogs, Wilco and many more. You won’t want to miss this magic-melodic evening with Christina, including an opening set by Brendan Flynn (of The Terrible Liars).
