Vox Sambou is originally from Limbé, Haiti. He is a founding member of the group Nomadic Massive. He has been composing, performing and honing his craft for over 15 years in Montreal and internationally.
He released three solo albums Lakay (2008), Dyasporafriken (2013) and The Brasil Session ( 2016).
Vox writes and sings in Haitian creole, french, English, Spanish and Portuguese. He has performed in Canada, the United States, France, Chile, Brazil, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Cuba, Morocco, Spain, China and South Korea. His music fuses traditional Haitian rhythms and elements of Afrobeat, reggae and hip hop; and is a commitment to to denouncing injustices and social imbalances.
