House of PainT Festival is back and celebrating 15 years in Ottawa! We're going to REWIND and pay homage to the roots of Hip Hop culture, as we look back and celebrate some of our favourite moments and artists. This year we go back to the core of what makes this festival great, the community and art! Come celebrate with us and take in some of the best talent this city, country, and culture have to offer!
DJing, MCing, Graffiti, and Breakin' are the four pillars of Hip Hop. House of PainT showcases concerts, competitions, workshops and knowledgeable talks that help build on these art forms and a variety of others in the urban arts umbrella!
More than 200 graffiti artists, urban dancers, Mc's Poets, bands, and DJs of all levels gather underneath the Dunbar Bridge on August 25th, to celebrate and elevate hip hop culture. While thousands flock to House of PainT’s breaking competitions, concerts, vendor booths and and mural walls.
The 15th year of House of PainT boasts an incredible lineup of events and activities both under the bridge, and in other community spaces throughout the city.
