D’origine sénégalaise, Elage est arrivé au Canada avec sa famille en 1986. Descendant d’une grande famille de griot, il commence, dès l’âge de 8 ans, à jouer des percussions traditionnelles sénégalaises. En 1999, il fait connaissance des Frères Diouf, membres du groupe Les Colocs. Ensemble, ils participent, notamment, au Festival Nuits d’Afrique de Montréal. En 2002-2009, Elage fait une tournée nationale et internationale avec le groupe Mighty POPO ainsi qu’une prestation au Juno Award en 2010 à Toronto.
En 2010, Elage sort son premier album solo « Askane » en collaboration avec Abdou Sy. Depuis près de 10 ans, Elage se produit sur différentes scènes de la région et ailleurs, notamment à l'Ottawa Blues Festival, Ottawa Folk Festival, la Fête du Canada ainsi qu'à Été show de la ville de Gatineau. Il a plusieurs collaborations à son actif avec d’autres groupes auteurs-producteurs de renoms, tels que Lynn Milles, Jim Bryson, Lucie Idlout, Sarah Hellman ainsi que Souljazz Orchestra.

Originally from Senegal, Elage arrived in Canada with his family in 1986. As a descendant of the great familty of griots, he started making music at 8 years old, playing traditional Senegalese percussion. In 1999 he met the Diouf brothers then members of the well-known Québec group Les Colocs. Together they played at many events, incluiding the Nuits d'Afrique Festival in Montreal. From 2002 to 2009 Élage was on tour nationally and internationally with Mighty POPO as well as appearing on the 2010 Juno Awards show in Toronto.
In 2010 Elage released his first solo album "Askane" in collaboration with Abdou Sy. For the past ten years, Elage has been giving shows in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, including the Ottawa Folk Festival, Canada Day and the city of Gatineau's Été show. He has collaborated with a number of renowned artists such as Lynn Milles, Jim Bryson, Lucie Idlout, Sarah Hellman as well as Souljazz Orchestra.
