Cloud City will be bringing their diverse brand of challenging and hard hitting progressive funk jazz to the Mercury Lounge this summer.
Fuelled by high-energy, improvisational and backbeat driven songs, this evening they will be accompanied by special guests Tariq Amery sitting in with the bands newly formed horn section as well as vocalist Doressa Dorcilhomme.
The evening will be a true mix of styles including songs from Snarky Puppy, Vulpeck, Tauk, Orgone, Chris Potter, and a number of original pieces.
Cloud City’s genre bending aesthetic spans funk, neo-soul, blues, indie-rock, hip-hop, afro-beat and jazz. Be sure not to miss this unique showcase of local talented collaborative musicianship.
