Le R Premier (née Christian Hermès Seglobo Djohossou, September 24, 1984 in Djougou, Benin) is a commanding rapper, singer-songwriter, producer and entrepreneur based in Ottawa. He is the founder and CEO of L'Armure du Son and the Scribes & Griots project.

Having spent his adolescence in the city of Cotonou, he migrated to Canada at 16. His career started with a bang a few years later with the release of his debut EP, Maktub. This nascent 2012 recording received three nominations at the Trille Or Awards Gala.

In 2014, Le R released his first full-length album, Coeur de pion, snagging six nominations at the Trille Or. His track "The City of 333 Saints" (a nod to the city of Timbuktu, Mali) won best song, as well as critical acclaim via Radio-Canada.

In addition to national and international tour dates, his second album is slated for release in late-2018.
