The Tackies (Acoustic): 9:00pm-10:00pm

'Come party with the Tackies' is pretty much our motto when we hit any stage.

A four member band stemming out of Carleton University, has been entertaining at several popular Ottawa venues since early 2015. Performing alongside The Lazys and Lights demonstrates how rapidly the band's recognition has been growing. We have been described as an Indie rock band with hints of alternative and punk. Lyrics will make you ponder human relationships and bring a smile from unpredictable offbeat moments on stage. Beats and riffs are surely to bob your head and get the feet moving; seeing you dance to our groove is one of the greatest compliment to us. Having a great time together is the whole reason why the band was formed.

Graven & The New Band: 10.00pm-11.00pm

“If you haven’t seen Graven yet, you need to check him out…there’s just this level of familiarity and it kinda seems like the same level of pride that going to a Hip show has…he sings about listening to Matt Mays songs, he sings about traveling across canada – it’s just a really wonderful, comforting time.”
– Noel Beausoleil, Live 88.5 FM

Graven is the alt-country folk-rock mindscape of Matt McKechnie. Jaybird is his newest release, and it is his thickest and folkiest to date. Having played in suburban garage bands since his mid-teens, he began to adapt and progress with the shifting musical terrain around him while still staying true to his idyllic influences. Graven’s songs are truly atmospheric, raw, passionate, personal and rare – and with a wild, rotating and circus-like band of hyper-talented individuals supporting him, his music generates interest and intensity. Having opened for and shared stage space with such artists as Slow Leaves, Megan Nash, Dave Gunning, Tanya Davis, The Wooden Sky, The Good Lovelies, Steve Poltz and Al Tuck, Graven is an active player in a few different collectives, and has toured across Canada on three separate occasions. His last record 'Channelsurfing' featured drum-work from Dave Marsh (Joel Plaskett, The True Love Rules) and engineering from Charles Austin (Superfriendz, Aqua Alta). His latest record Jaybird is receiving bits of acclaim and airplay on CBC, Live 88.5, CKCU, CKDJ, CHUO and a smattering of stations across Canada. Graven recently played at Marvest (part of CityFolk Festival) in Ottawa alongside acts like Matt Mays, Bahamas, Father John Misty and Broken Social Scene.
