The story of Canailles began in 2010, and the group has since then gained a following as a band that blends various North American roots styles in a party atmosphere. The octet’s more than 400 concerts in Canada, Louisiana, Europe and even Réunion, are brilliant and flamboyant, and full of the hyperbole that holds us all together. Backflips, their third album, which was released in the spring of 2017 on the Grosse Boîte label, is a collection of hymns to the smooth talkers who like to live dangerously, and all the inspiration we need to hang in there and keep the old ticker going.
