Alexandra Mackenzie, a.k.a Petra Glynt, is a multidisciplinary artist and musician. She has studied and practiced music since the age of seven making her beginnings in Ottawa as a singer and moving to Toronto at eighteen acquiring her degree at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU), majoring in printmaking. It was in Toronto where she immersed herself in the music community playing in a handful of bands and exploring improvisational and experimental approaches to music before starting her solo music project Petra Glynt in 2012, emerging in reaction to the Toronto and International Occupy Movement with her first EP Of This Land on Healing Power Records. She now resides in Montreal, Quebec.

Together, her visual and musical practice work to empower her audience, employing pop and experimental sensibilities. The visual world she creates represents her music with illustration, screen-printing, painting, animation, etc. depicting the chaos and beauty of the natural world and a resistance against old and dying power structures, placing everyday people in positions of strength, power, and celebration. The music itself is a call to reclaim people power with the intention to boost morale during times of world disenchantment and acts as a reminder that magic exists.

Ottawa singersongwriter Muzzy (a.k.a. Gabrielle) Legault is a soulful new voice in the experiemental jazz-rap/hiphop space in the Canadian music industry.

Muzzy has been featured on CBC Radio’s "The Morning" with Jessa Runciman and has collaborated with Ottawa producer Tev Bourque and New Jersey producer Subbdaio. She has sole-written and recorded over 100 songs, some published.

She was one of the several artists selected to perform in the Ottawa's Saw Courtyard [Arts Court] on stage to celebrate the one year anniversary of the print arts magazine Ottawa Beat where the “relatively bashful soul” was featured by Nneka Nnagbo.
