Come to our Ted Talk on how a famed chef and city slicker designer started homesteading (before they knew ‘homesteading’ was a thing) and turned a cattle farm into a diverse market garden operation. From maple syrup to vegetable stands to seed saving and foraging events to farm shop and farmer dinners, from hay fields to small grains to supplying restaurants and now how we’re renovating an old barn for production and workshop space. We’ve done it all and there’s no turning back.
Our adventure started in 2019 right before the pandemic and we’ve chronicled every moment along the way. We’ve taken on dozens of projects, learned tons from others, shared what we know and learn more everyday about the land, ourselves and what two people are capable of producing whether out of passion or out of spite or maybe just because they like eating well and living by the seasons.
It all starts with chickens.
