Proudly Presents: AFROFEST Ottawa
AFROFEST is the largest free African Music Festival in North America.
AFROFEST Ottawa showcases the best of African culture, fashion, and entertainment in the Nation's Capital. It also seeks to help raise awareness about gun violence and its disproportionate impact on the Black community.
The festival features authentic food from local vendors, music, fashion, activities for children, arts and crafts, live performances from local and international talent, a marketplace, and much more!
Come join us for a day of celebrating all things African and experience the rich, diverse heritage of African Canadians in Ottawa.
AFRICA LIVE CANADA
Established in 2016, Africa Live Canada is a youth-driven, non-profit organization that celebrates and promotes African Canadian culture by offering culturally focused programs, services and support designed to foster leadership, entrepreneurship and collaboration within the Black community.
MISSION
Africa Live Canada is committed to the empowerment of marginalized youth through mentorship, leadership development, skills training, financial literacy workshops, volunteer opportunities, music, and the arts. In addition, ALC aims to assist newcomers to integrate and build a successful life in Canada.
Our overall goal is to provide a collective voice for African Canadians in Ottawa and help influence decisions that directly affect our community.
