Interview and performance with Allison Lupton and friends. Allison's band consists of Adam Shier on guitar, James Stephens on fiddle, Andrew Collins on mandolin and bass virtuoso James McEleney. They performed an amazing concert at Red Bird last night [Friday]. They're heading to Prescott right after the show to perform at the 4th annual Upper Canada Folk Fest, website www.uppercanadafolkfest.ca.
Allison's website is www.allisonlupton.com.
Tribute to Rachel Hauraney. Rachel, a beloved member of our community, passed away last year. She volunteered with the Ottawa Folk Festival in 1994 when she was in her teens, and played many roles with the festival over the years, including hosting the Main Stage concerts at Britannia Park with Chopper McKinnon and Karen Flanagan McCarthy. Rachel was also very involved with the Ottawa Little Theatre organization, and hosted several shows here on CKCU.

Thanks so much for the wonderful tribute to Rachel Hauraney! The song by Allison Lupton was so beautiful. I also loved the song by Michael Munnik, which is a fond memory of times they shared chatting together at Rockwell's Restaurant in Ottawa.
