Hello Mike, Love that song Papa's On The House Top. Haven't heard that old Anne Murray song in years--really good to hear it again. Listening in from home on a Saturday morning.

Hi Shelly Ann, I didn't know Anne Murray had done that song. It's actually an old blues song from the 1920s or '30s. I think Leroy Carr did the original version.

Oh my! This Judy Collins song is really bringing back some childhood memories--I remember hearing this one when I was a kid. My uncle was a huge fan of hers.

It goes back to when I was a kid, too.

Oh I guess I was wrong. I always thought that Anne Murray did the song Music In Your Eyes. I didn't know it was Colleen Peterson until I went back with my screen reader and read your playlist once again. Growing up in Ottawa we did hear a lot of Colleen's music on the radio. I do remember vividly hearing that tune though. I was away from the radio when you were reading the list of songs. I stand corrected! (smile).

a great show..much appreciated on this north-wind brisk sunny morn...had the privilege of hosting Tom Paxton in the folk club we ran in Alberta..he was so lovely to work with, and so this brings back evocative and emotional memories of a wonderful era back in the 80's...you have assembled such a superb compilation !

Thanks Ray. Thanks Jim. I ran a folk club in Montreal in the 1970s and '80s and Tom played there many times. Always one of my favourite artists to work with.
