Interviews with Hayden and Matheus Moraes (a trumpeter taking part in the NACO's Mentorship Program)

We open the show today in conversation with singer-songwriter Hayden, talking about his latest album Are We Good and his upcoming concert on Wednesday, May 24th at the First Baptist Church. Hayden was nursing a cold on this day, but he powers through it to talk about the songs on the new album and filling us in on why it took him eight years to produce it - the longest gap between albums in Hayden's recording career. We also talk about some of the interesting ideas he's exploring in recent videos and how he uses production techniques to enhance his songs. The young, Brazilian trumpeter is a member of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra and is truly enjoying his mentorship with the NACO. He tells us about how he came to live in Canada from Brazil and about the importance of mentorship programs like the one provided by the NACO.
