Megaphono Special: Interviews with Her Harbour, Old Man Grant and Beyries

Her Harbour is Gabrielle Giguere and she has released a stunning second album called Go Gently Into the Night. The album explores some very dark themes in lovely, ambient songs. Gabrielle will be releasing her new album as part of Megaphono next Friday night, Feb. 3, in concert at Ecclesiax Church on Monk Street in Ottawa. https://herharbour.bandcamp.com/ https://herharbour.com/ Also playing as part of Megaphono will be Ottawa's own Old Man Grant. The rootsy trio mixes in elements of blues, folk, bluegrass and anything else that they like. Ally Snedker sings and plays percussion with Old Man Grant and she graciously came into the studio to talk about the group and the music they make. Old Man Grant has an album you can access through Bandcamp and will be working on a new recording soon. You can see the group perform at The Elmdale Tavern next Friday, Feb. 3 as part of Megaphono and then up at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield Quebec on Saturday, Feb. 4. She has just released her debut recording called Landing and it's a beautiful pop-influenced album that combines all kinds of influences into the mix. The project partly grew out of her bouts with cancer in her late 20s and how she found strength and resolve writing and recording her own songs.
