- Lynne Hanson -
Americana, roots music, rough-around-the-edges folk. Canadian songwriter Lynne Hanson prefers “porch music with a little red dirt.” Hanson songs are like a favorite pair of jeans. They're rough around the edges, faded and worn through in spots, with a bit of honestly-acquired dirt ground into the seams.

- Kris & Dee -
Kris and Dee are Kingston’s superfolk duo Kris Abbott (of indie-hall-of-famers The Pursuit of Happiness) and Dee McNeil (of all-girl rockers The Strap-Ons). Drawing upon their folk, pop and rock roots as well as digital influences, Kris and Dee’s production concept for A Great Long Game is a pure extension of their creative process. The result is a dynamic, textured collection of songs that range from introspective and intimate to playful and rocking—each one was written, produced and performed solely by Kris and Dee.

- Kirsten Jones -
Toronto-based singer/songwriter Kirsten Jones had only one producer in mind for her sophomore album, The Mad Mile: The Jayhawks front man, and alt country legend, Gary Louris. "I knew I wanted to try getting in touch with Gary before even trying to think of anyone else, so I looked up his management online and just sent them a package." A few months later, Jones found herself in a “pinch me” situation – she and Louris were writing in her Toronto living room, and they hit the studio later that fall. Creating a sound that combined her alt country and roots influences with her own unique writing style came naturally, thanks to Louris' firsthand experience with some of Jones' favourite artists (The Dixie Chicks, Kelly Willis, Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks).
