The DJ plays deep soulful house music from 1:30 to 3:30 and the dancer leads two 30-minute workshops at 1:30 and 2:30. You can just dance, learn or just listen and vibe out, it's a beautiful space with amazing music! There's a great cafe and underground pay-parking at the NAC, or free street-parking downtown!

Mari Rossi is a DJ and Brazilian electronic music pioneer with a 25-year career spanning global stages. Known for her eclectic blend of grooves and rhythms, she's a veteran at inspiring people to dance. Mari Rossi’s avant-garde perspective nods to electronic music’s past while shaping its future. She's graced major festivals like Skol Beats and Sonar Sounds, with international residencies including at Ottawa's Mercury Lounge. Beyond DJing, Mari leads innovative projects like Friends Casa, merging club and dance culture. In São Paulo, she’s a fixture at Gaspar, Seen São Paulo and Na Manteiga radio, blending British breaks, Afro, and soulful house. Mari Rossi connects with fellow artists through waacking and house music gatherings, and as a producer with releases on international labels.

Meet Abria, a seasoned Jamaican dance instructor with over a decade of experience in Dancehall and Hip-Hop. Their style embodies freedom of movement, infused with the captivating warmth of Dancehall. They’re thrilled to bring their West Indian feel as a guest dancer for a Capital Session! Join them on the dance floor for an afternoon of captivating rhythms and pure energy!
