35 Anniversary of the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero

On the show tonight, we remembered Archbishop Oscar Romero`s assassination. Romero was killed on March 24, 1980 when he was celebrating mass in El Salvador. We also talked with Mr. Wilmer Barrientos, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Canada. He spoke to us about the Executive Order issued On March 9, 2015 by the United States and President Barack Obama declaring "Venezuela a threat to US national security" and imposing sanctions on several individuals. Mr. Barrientos talked about how Venezuelans have rallied in support of their government, and since the order was released over three million have signed a letter demanding that Obama revoke his designation. The letter is part of a peaceful campaign not only in Venezuela but all over the world, demanding president Obama to repeal his Executive Order against Venezuela.
