*** 1 - Ottawa Telugu Association fundraising for Kerala flood relief *** Following last week's tragedy in Kerala, the Ottawa Telugu Association is raising funds for the flood relief operations. Please come and join all these auspicious celebrations. (a) Shree Krishna Janmashtami -- Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on Sunday 2nd of September from 7 pm to midnight. The Temple will be open from 08:30 am until Arati at midnight. Special program for the evening includes recitation of Hari Gita (Hindi) 7-10 pm, Bhajans, reading of Gita - Chapter 11 from 10 pm to midnight, and Janmotsav, Arati and Jhoola at Midnight. (b) Shree Saraswati Puja -- Saraswati Puja for the students returning to or starting a new class year will be conducted on Monday, 3rd of September from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Please confirm your participation and also indicate whether you will help making Prasad by sending an email to Roopa Sree Tungatrthi at r.tungaturthi@gmail.comor to omsat@live.com. (c) Shree Ganesh Chaturthi -- Ganesh Sthapana will be performed on Wednesday, September 12 from 9.15 - 10.30 am in the Gita Bhawan. And Ganesh Visarjanwill be held on Sunday, September 23 from 2.15 - 2.45 pm. During this ceremony, Lord Ganesh will be taken in procession from the Gita Bhavan for the Parikramana around the Temple and brought back to the Gita Bhavan.
