Interview from this year’s World Radio Day, between CKCU’s Daydream Frequencies’ host and Carleton Journalism student Audrey Pridham and award-winning CBC broadcaster and leading advocate for Indigenous journalism, Duncan McCue who is an Associate Professor in the school of Journalism at Carleton University. The pair discuss Duncan’s journey to his 25-year career at CBC, the intimacy of radio, Duncan’s 2016 memoir the Shoe boy, Indigenous culture and connection to the land and history, and finally “CJIC” – Carleton’s new Certificate in Journalism in Indigenous Communites lead by Duncan.
