Interview w/ Yazmine Laroche

Carleton Journalism student and "Daydream Frequencies" host Audrey Pridham presents a feature interview with CKCU alumna Yazmine Laroche, Canada’s first Deputy Minister for Public Service Accessibility. Yazmine used to be the co-host of CKCU’s “He and She Hour” and was an editor with Trans FM magazine. After graduating from Carleton University, she has been a notable advocate for disability accessibility across Canada. Since retiring, Yazmine has been involved with different organizations’ boards to continue bringing awareness and give back to the community. She joins us now to discuss her involvement with CKCU, how community radio shaped her career in the public service, and how we need to continue to reduce accessibility barriers.
