Toronto-based singer and instrumentalist Lila Ravelle makes her on-air debut on CKCU this week! Lila released her first EP “Fairy Songs” back in 2023, which has been featured in various fairy and princess-inspired playlists online, and her track “Ribbons” became viral on TikTok about a year later. She also just released an EP with three new instrumental tracks a few months ago that sound absolutely magical .𖥔 ݁ ˖༘⋆𐦍⊹₊ ⋆｡˚
Lila joins us on the show to talk about what drew her to this genre of music, how Barbie and Disney movies inspired her aesthetic, as well as her upcoming show at Toronto's Burdock Music Hall. I hope you enjoy her beautiful music as much as I do! There'll also be some more fairy-inspired songs that are personal favourites of mine to round out the show (◠‿◠)
