I love that you dedicated this show to the volunteers, Ian. For 13 years, I took my 2 weeks vacation to volunteer for the entire Jazz Festival, set up, tear down and every hour on the grounds from early morning to late night. On the 15th Anniversary I took the Sponsorship Manager position and redesigned the site plan at the park to including setting up the food vendors around the fountain area and extend all the way to Elgin Stl so folks could walk around for quiet time..

As I always say to Ron and Jim every 2nd Sunday........I wish your show, Ian was every week, not every 2nd week

Thanks for your contribution, Neil! Volunteers are key for all of the festivals in Ottawa. I thought the jazz festival did a good job of recognizing their contribution at every opportunity this year.

They always honoured their volunteers, Ian. I used to use my contacts to round up lots of gifts for draws and volunteer recognition awards each year. When I lose Drake to old age, I will probobly go back to volunteering for the festival.. Beautiful memories for me.
